Spring / Summer 2019
The S/S 2019 collection was inspired by the juxtaposition of a cactus in a rice field.
Statement
The S/S 2019 collection was inspired by the juxtaposition of a cactus in a rice field. The color palette is in line with the theme, with the neutral tones representing the media in which the plants would grow, and then the pops of pinks and orange for when the cactus finally flowers after a rainstorm.
Inspiration
The silhouettes are really a mash-up of some traditional Vietnamese garments with westernized silhouettes, such as the cream silk dupioni áo dài paired with a silk chiffon skirt instead of the traditional pants, or the beaded pink áo yếm with the green silk print pencil skirt.
Showcase
These looks were created for the Inaugural District of Fashion S/S 2019 show and also featured in Feroce Magazine’s Light Issue.
